Katarina (Kat) Thorsen, is an artist, craftivist and creative engagement/therapeutic art facilitator, passionate in her belief that art can heal and build connections. Kat specializes in creative engagement for at-risk youth, seniors and organizations. Her interactive art events and street art encourages participants to become part of the creative process. Kat’s own artwork can be found in private collections in North America and Europe. She published her first book, Drawn Together- Maintaining Connections and Navigating Life’s Challenges with Art, in
2013. Her next book is a true crime analysis in the form of a graphic novel. Kat resides in Vancouver, Canada.

Cheryl Bain is a respected and sought after Recreation Therapist currently the Active Living Manager at Mulberry PARC. Cheryl has spent over a decade in seniors care communities working with residents who have advanced Alzheimer's and Dementia. As an Active Living Manager, Cheryl plans, facilitates and promotes programs & leisure choices that encourage healthy, independent lifestyle for residents. Cheryl's contagious enthusiasm and abundance of energy makes her the perfect partner for Culture of Care.
Cheryl's specializes in educating Front Line staff on understanding the physical and cognitive changes that occur in the aging process. As a Gentle Persuasive Approach Trainer, Cheryl motivates Healthcare professionals, community caregivers and students to realize the meaning behind the behaviour; emphasizing connections and advocating an approach unique of each person. Key goals focusing on Personhood, Dignity and Validation. By advocating a physical, social and spiritual health and wellness, encouraging participation and a sense of belonging in community, Cheryl can inspire front line staff to enhance the quality of life for Older Adults residing in their communities.

For more than two decades, Charles Holmes has designed and facilitated collaborative strategic meetings and multi-stakeholder dialogues for corporations, government, non-profits and communities. He helps organizations committed to “doing well by doing good” develop cultures where transparency, integrity and collaboration are the way business is done. His contributions allow people to bring their very best to work while they courageously do what is best for the world.
Working at the intersection of strategy and humanity, Charles asks powerful questions that invite deep reflection, generate compelling visions, and reveal new possibilities. He introduces creative processes that set learning and relationships on a new trajectory. His approach focuses attention on self-awareness, appreciation, and shared values and purpose. As a co-founder of the Learning Strategies Group at Simon Fraser University’s School of Business, he has helped develop and deliver many innovative leadership and management training programs. In 2005, he helped establish the Dalai Lama Center for Peace + Education in Vancouver. He continues to produce and curate the Connecting For Change program, which has brought a wide variety of corporate and NGO leaders together in dialogue with His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
